The nightmare of wrapping millions of presents is usually reserved only for Christmas. Sure you will have to wrap a few presents during the year for birthdays, anniversaries or baby showers, but the bulk of your yearly gift wrapping happens before Christmas.
This might have been why they invented Stocking Fillers, because unlike the presents that get lovingly displayed beneath the Christmas tree, stocking fillers, as the name suggests, get put into stockings. This means that though you might prefer to wrap them, the wrapping will not be exposed for all to see, and so it is easier to get away with a skew corner, or a torn edge.
This all of course depends on who the stocking belongs to. No matter what kind of present you are wrapping there are some basic guidelines.
Buy wrapping paper that suits the occasion – don't buy a Christmas farmyard scene to wrap your boss's present, and don't buy skull and cross bones with Santa hats to wrap you small niece's present. Not too difficult is it? Then cut the paper to fit the size of the present, making small folds where you are going to fold the paper later.
Then buy a decent, clear sticky tape, that hasn't gone yellow. Now be systematic and neat, folding the paper and sticking it down, and repeating on all sides.
